Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sr. Capital Project Manager to lead a large greenfield expansion near an existing steel mill in Alabama. You will oversee the full lifecycle from site development to completion, coordinating budgets, schedules, resources, and risk across multiple vendors.

The role requires 10+ years in industrial construction and experience with high-value CapEx programs, EPC delivery, and self-perform construction management. A strong engineering background and PMP/PE are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in large-scale industrial construction projects.
• Experience with CapEx projects exceeding $300 million in value.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire project lifecycle from site development through civil/structural building construction to complete process line installation, culminating in handover for commissioning.
• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the capital project, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
• Implement and maintain project control systems to monitor progress, costs, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
