Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 1 year relevant experience, or higher degree.
• Five years experience or more in the construction industry including knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and HVAC.
• Able to obtain valid NMSU driving permit.

Responsibilities

• Performs general facilities maintenance and repairs, including patching, painting, minor plumbing repairs, and lighting maintenance.
• Maintains and repairs floors, carpeting, and ceilings throughout assigned buildings.
• Installs whiteboards, tack boards, plaques, picture frames, and signage in classrooms, offices, and administrative areas.
• Maintains, repairs, and replaces furniture as needed in classrooms and offices.
• Identifies and troubleshoots maintenance issues and coordinates vendor repairs when needed.
• Supports HVAC repairs and maintenance with HVAC Lead and Techs, including quarterly filter replacement.
