Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking Hardware Engineers to own the development and integration of high-performance camera modules and depth-sensing hardware for iPhone products.

You will work across sensor, lens, and packaging teams to deliver industry-leading imaging experiences. The role involves design verification, qualification, and collaboration with offshore manufacturing partners, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• Experience in design, manufacturing, or integration of optomechanical products.
• Ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Definition and trade-off studies of RGB camera to meet system constraints.
• Collaborate with optical, electrical, process, sensing, test, and mechanical teams on camera hardware integration.
• Lead offshore manufacturing partners in design evaluation and qualification.
• Lead failure analysis and corrective actions at manufacturing sites, including assembly, testing, and calibration.
• Evaluate and debug camera hardware at module and product levels.
• Document camera-specific design, test, and manufacturing requirements.
• Travel up to 20% to supplier facilities for development and bring-up.
