Crestron Electronics Inc. seeks a technical leader to define the BSP architecture for a unified camera stack across Linux and Android, driving sensor bring-up, ISP integration, and Android Camera HAL compliance.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required.
6–8 years embedded Linux/Android development with strong C/C++.
Proven experience with V4L2, Linux kernel camera drivers, and Android Camera HAL.
Familiarity with device tree overlays and power sequencing.
Hands-on IQ tuning tools and camera validation frameworks.
Experience with ISP pipelines and proprietary HAL components.

Responsibilities

Own the design and implementation of cross-OS camera architecture and board bring-up.
Develop and maintain camera drivers (V4L2 sub-devices) integrated with Android Camera HAL.
Design and validate DT/DTBO overlays for camera power, reset, and MCLK sequencing.
Tune image quality for 3A, LSC, TNR, and color pipelines using provided tools.
Create automated media graph validation, streaming verification, and stress tests.
Collaborate with hardware teams to define CSI timing, PHY configuration, sensor onboarding.
Manage NDA-protected components and communicate with silicon and camera vendors.
Produce technical docs, bring-up playbooks, and release notes.
