Crestron Electronics, Inc. seeks an Android video expert to lead embedded Android/Linux multimedia software initiatives, owning video architecture, codecs, and end-to-end validation.

You will collaborate with firmware, BSP, camera, display, and QA teams to deliver reliable video capabilities for real-time conferencing, streaming, capture, and encode/decode use cases. The role requires hands-on debugging, performance tuning, and architectural guidance across hardware video encode/decode, memory

Qualifications

• Embedded Android/Linux multimedia software development and debugging.
• Strong C/C++ expertise is required.
• Experience with Codec2, AIDL/HIDL concepts and media codec configuration.
• Hardware video encode/decode bring-up and debugging including low-latency paths.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on video platform integration across Android multimedia framework and video paths.
• Drive root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and production hardening for video issues.
• Provide architectural direction for Android/Linux video platforms and low-latency streaming strategies.
• Define validation strategy, automation, and regression coverage for video platform releases.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across firmware, BSP, camera, display, and QA teams.
