Overview

Raytheon Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) is looking for an experienced Senior Calibration Technician candidate to support our team based out of Aurora, CO. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing calibration, verification, maintenance, and troubleshooting support on Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team dedicated to supporting and maintaining various TMDE assets on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract. The Senior Calibration Technician is a key contact for customers needing technical assistance and will communicate TMDE status, analysis, and solutions while building positive, trusting relationships.

What You Will Do
  • Calibrate laboratory working standards and customer TMDE using manual and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Use TMDE to perform measurements in calibration laboratory environments, including voltage, frequency, current, resistance, impedance, power, LF/RF/microwave frequency, temperature, physical/dimensional, and fiber optic measurements.
  • Overhaul, modify, repair, and certify TMDE using electronic theory and advanced metrology principles.
  • Process Return to Vendor (RTV) paperwork and documents for TMDE calibration and repair beyond lab capability and higher-level certification.
  • Maintain TMDE recall database and enter required information for records keeping and traceability.
  • Research required technical information and order required parts using appropriate procurement systems.
  • Interact with system engineers and customers, providing technical guidance as required.
  • 100% onsite full-time based in Aurora, CO.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2+ years of relevant prior experience.
  • Experience in a calibration laboratory environment.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Applicable Military PMEL training and certifications.
  • Experience in metrology techniques, metrology software, and laboratory practices during calibration, verification, maintenance, and troubleshooting of TMDE assets.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics for calculations and interpretation of numerical data to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Understanding of advanced electrical, electronic, and microwave measurement principles.
  • Proficient in using computers and various automated software applications: Microsoft Office, Fluke MET/Team, Fluke MET/CAL, and Keysight TME.
  • Understanding and experience with ANSI/NCSL Z540-1/1994, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3/2006, and ANSI/ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standards.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical activity; ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted.
  • Team player willing to support a variety of tasks and high-priority customer activities.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function and responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
