Job summary

PacSci EMC in Chandler, AZ seeks a Sr. Calibration Tech Lead to execute proactive product surveillance and quality audits on aerospace manufacturing programs. The role operates on the manufacturing floor with a strong focus on preventing escapes and reducing scrap through real-time coaching.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Ability to independently conduct product/process audits with minimal oversight.
• Experience with root cause analysis methods (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D).
• Knowledge of GD&T, inspection principles and measurement tools.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/SAP; capable of Power BI reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive product surveillance audits across aerospace programs.
• Observe real-time builds to verify inspection criteria and documentation.
• Exercise stop-work authority for nonconformances and coordinate corrective actions.
• Conduct process audits including PPE, hazmat controls, and work instruction adherence.
• Collaborate with MQEs and Operations to identify audit themes and actions.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and prioritize improvements.
• Support APQP tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP) and surveillance systems.
• Assist customers and suppliers with data and audit findings.
