Job summary

Teradyne Memory Test division seeks a Calibration and Diagnostics Engineer to advance calibration, characterization, and diagnostic software for state-of-the-art instrumentation. You will work with cutting-edge Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and contribute to algorithms and software frameworks that support hardware teams and manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in calibration methodologies, data analysis, and debugging, plus experience collaborating with hardware and FPGA

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of calibration methodologies, instrumentation, and measurement science.
• Ability to analyze complex hardware/software interactions.
• Experience working directly with hardware development teams.
• Strong knowledge of debugging methodologies and data analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of calibration and diagnostic software architectures.
• Develop advanced calibration algorithms for precision measurement and instrumentation subsystems.
• Drive characterization strategies for new hardware platforms and technologies.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, systems, manufacturing, and product engineering organizations.
• Analyze large measurement datasets to identify trends, performance limitations, and optimization opportunities.
• Root-cause investigations involving complex software and hardware interactions.
• Develop scalable software frameworks supporting engineering, manufacturing, and customer diagnostics.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on critical projects.
• Drive software quality, automation, and development best practices.
• Influence product roadmap decisions through technical expertise and data-driven recommendations.
