Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Software Calibration Engineering Manager for Memory Test, based in San Jose, CA, or Agoura Hills, CA. The role leads calibration and diagnostics software efforts, mentoring a team and partnering with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Hardware to deliver reliable releases.

You will shape the technical roadmap, drive continuous improvement, and report to senior leadership on progress and risks. Local candidates only; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering programs.
• Strong understanding of calibration methodologies, instrumentation, and measurement systems.
• Proven ability to build and develop high-performing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for calibration and diagnostics software.
• Guide architecture decisions for calibration algorithms, software frameworks, and analysis infrastructure.
• Review critical technical designs and provide guidance on complex technical challenges.
• Ensure engineering best practices are consistently applied across projects.
• Establish priorities and allocate resources to meet product and business objectives.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Hardware, FPGA, and Systems teams to deliver successful product releases.
• Support manufacturing scalability and improve calibration efficiency and test throughput.
• Lead resolution of critical customer and manufacturing escalations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and reliability.
• Communicate project status, technical risks, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
