Job summary

PACCAR Technical Center seeks an experienced CAE – Structural & Dynamics Engineer to drive innovation in heavy-duty truck development. You will leverage advanced FEA and vehicle dynamics simulation to deliver best-in-class durability, ride quality, handling, and NVH performance.

In this role, you'll partner with Kenworth and Peterbilt teams to predict design viability, translate findings into actionable recommendations, and manage multi-project execution end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

5+ years of CAE experience with strong analytical skills and project management ability.
Experience in structural CAE, durability or vehicle dynamics.
Experience correlating CAE with test data and leading cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

Execute comprehensive FEA analyses across components, assemblies, and full-vehicle platforms.
Develop and validate multi-body dynamics models to support load case development.
Perform fatigue and durability life predictions with correlation to test data.
Support model setup, meshing, and post-processing using HyperMesh/HyperView.
Synthesize simulation results into clear narratives for stakeholders.
