Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Staff CAE Engineer in the United States to lead CAE/FEA analyses for automotive driveline products, including VCT components and gear trains. You will set modeling standards, mentor engineers, and drive validation through HPC-enabled simulations.

You will define targets, ensure convergence and accuracy, and communicate results to program teams and leadership, supporting design decisions and product release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of CAE/FEA experience in automotive powertrain/driveline/VCT.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and communicate to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute CAE strategies using ANSYS for performance, NVH, and durability.
• Represent technical authority on modeling assumptions and validation.
• Translate requirements into CAE targets and risk assessments.
• Lead cross-disciplinary reviews and mentor engineers.
• Develop CAE standards, roadmaps, and automation tools.
