Job summary

Optimal Solution Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking a highly experienced CAE Durability Engineer to lead structural and fatigue simulations, including modal transient analysis, to validate designs against performance metrics.

You will correlate virtual results with physical data, collaborate with Design & Release teams, and contribute to technical problem solving for quality and warranty issues, leveraging tools like NASTRAN, Abaqus, Hypermesh.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in CAE, with a preference for fatigue analysis.
In-depth knowledge of material science, fatigue principles (stress-life, strain-life), and structural mechanics.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Perform structural and fatigue simulations involving road loads and correlate results with design metrics.
Conduct modal transient analysis and detailed root cause analysis to validate design solutions.
Carry out correlation activities to confirm confidence of virtual results against physical data.
Communicate results with Design & Release teams and maintain up-to-date Fatigue tool knowledge.
Support problem solving for quality/warranty issues and TVMs; contribute to CAE projects.
Monitor issues across CAE groups and participate in related initiatives.
