Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Nashville, TN is seeking a CADWorx Designer with 6+ years of experience to join our Natural Gas team. You will create PFDs, P&IDs, and 3D facility models from markups and verbal directions.

Responsibilities include applying piping principles, reviewing reports and specs, and producing detailed piping drawings. The role requires independent work and mentoring others within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in CADWorx.
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, and ability to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Create and complete PFDs and P&IDs from directions and markups.
• Apply piping principles and industry practices to support design.
• Build 3D facilities models from P&IDs.
• Review reports, drawings, and specs to ensure design requirements.
• Produce production drawings including layout and sizing.
• Develop piping drawings with layout, sequencing, and refinements.
• Incorporate changes and maintain accuracy on active projects.
• Ensure deliverables meet drafting standards, budget, scope, and schedule.
