Job summary

SolveNow Inc. is seeking a Senior CADWorx Piping Designer to independently develop piping designs and lead portions of project scope. You will coordinate directly with engineers and other disciplines, providing input on operability, model quality, and design standards to support workshare, estimating, and change-management discussions.

This hybrid position requires weekly attendance (2 days) in an office within 50 miles of your location, with the flexibility to collaborate across teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 2+ years of practical experience.
• 10+ years of piping design in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Semiconductor.
• Proficiency in CADWorx for piping design and modeling.
• At least 3 years of CADWorx usage with strong model discipline.
• Ability to read P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering docs.
• Independent work with general oversight and task ownership.
• Strong communication and coordination within a multi-discipline team.
• Excellent organizational skills and drawing accuracy.

Qualifications

What you'll need:

• Associate's degree in Design Technology or a related field (or equivalent practical experience of 2+ years).
• 10+ years of piping design experience in industrial settings (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Semiconductor).
• Proficiency in CADWorx for piping design and modeling.
• At least 3 years of solid and recent CADWorx usage.
• Understanding of piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout fundamentals.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with general oversight while managing your assigned design tasks.
• Strong communication and coordination skills within a multidiscipline team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on model and drawing accuracy

Ideally, You Will Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology or similar curriculum.
• Experience in semiconductor facilities.
• Working knowledge of pipe stress considerations and how they influence routing and support design.
• Experience with QA/QC workflows, model health reviews, and specification-driven design.
• Advanced capability with CADWorx, such as specs and troubleshooting.
• Prior leadership in Piping teams, including oversight of model consistency and deliverable quality.

Responsibilities

As a Senior-Level CADWorx Piping Designer, you will independently develop piping designs, lead portions of project scope, and coordinate directly with engineers and other disciplines.
