Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Senior CADD Technician to support Mining and Energy initiatives in Lexington, KY. You will develop engineering drawings, geospatial data products, and technical documentation while collaborating with engineers, surveyors, and GIS professionals.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to field and office activities, and help improve workflows and software utilization across RESPEC offices. A strong AutoCAD background and civil/mining experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Associate degree in CAD or related field.
10+ years of experience with AutoCAD, preferred in civil/mining environments.
Proficiency with AutoCAD 2018 or newer.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD, GIS, and related software.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to prepare plans, permits, and technical documentation.
Create plan and profile drawings using survey and field data.
Perform drawing revisions based on markups and direction.
Manage project files in document management systems and company standards.
Support mining, energy, and infrastructure projects across RESPEC offices.
Mentor juniors in CADD and GIS technologies.
Contribute to field and office project activities as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, software utilization, and efficiency.
