TYG is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will produce detailed drawings from concept through construction documents and collaborate with engineers to solve technical challenges.

The role emphasizes strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills, attention to detail, and mentoring junior technicians across multiple projects while coordinating with civil, process, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CAD experience in civil engineering or infrastructure consulting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience creating drawings for water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Familiar with underground utility layouts and construction documents.
• Ability to interpret survey data and technical markups.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Clear communication and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings for water mains, sanitary sewers, force mains, pump stations, and associated infrastructure.
• Develop plan and profile drawings, utility layouts, site plans, sections, and construction details.
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to manage surfaces, alignments, profiles, and pipe networks.
• Incorporate survey information, utility records, engineering markups, and client requirements into drawing packages.
• Coordinate with civil, process, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams to resolve drawing conflicts.
• Support drawing revisions throughout design, permitting, bidding, and construction.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project CAD standards.
• Help maintain drawing templates, reference files, and CAD libraries.
• Mentor junior technicians and manage drawing production across multiple projects.
