Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a CAD Designer to transform engineering concepts into buildable, detailed plans for water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to produce accurate AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings that meet Tetra Tech standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD Drafting or related field, or Autodesk Civil 3D training, plus 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design (grading, surfaces, pipes).
• Experience with Civil 3D labels.
• Excellent communication, written and verbal.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, prepare, and manage construction drawings with project teams.
• Prepare dimensional drawings and modify base files in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Revise drawings to reflect design changes.
• Maintain electronic file structures and naming conventions.
• Prepare project documents from start to finish with professional output.
• Manage multiple active projects and meet deadlines.
• Adhere to CAD standards (Tetra Tech or client-specific).
• Collaborate to ensure drawings meet bid and submittal requirements.
