STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES/VSL is seeking a CAD Technician to draft complex drawings of structures and equipment systems. This role can be seated at our Fort Worth, TX location with national travel 5-10% for coordination with engineers and shop teams.

Ideal candidates have 3-7 years of AutoCAD experience, strong ability to read structural drawings, and proficiency in Inventor/SolidWorks/BIM-Revit. Competitive benefits and a supportive, fast-paced environment await.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years experience with AutoCAD, preferably structural concrete drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand structural drawings.
• Strong communication skills, able to correspond well with Engineers and Clients.
• Able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, SolidWorks, BIM/Revit and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Drafting project and mechanical system drawings derived from layouts and sketches.
• Establishing and following technical specifications to prepare drawings and draft designs.
• Consulting with engineers regarding model accuracy and coordinating with shop team for material deliveries to job-sites.
• Determining material needs, performing necessary calculations, and tracking all material quantities.
