Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) in Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Survey Technician to support field and office teams. You will process survey data, prepare final CAD deliverables, and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance across projects.

You will coordinate with the Project Manager, supervise data quality checks, and assist in training staff on survey standards. Strong math skills and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center are required.

Qualifications

• Experience processing survey data and delivering CAD-based survey deliverables.
• Experience preparing plats and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry.
• Knowledge of surveying regulations and quality-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Project Manager to meet field and office requirements.
• Process field data and prepare CAD-based land survey deliverables.
• Perform data processing, check accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare survey plats, ALTA/NSPS surveys, drawings, legal descriptions.
• Conduct deed research, mapping, and boundary calculations.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of field data and client deliverables.
• Train field and office staff on survey standards and best practices.
• Support field crews and monitor productivity and schedules.
