Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a skilled CAD/GIS Technician to support the design and development of municipal infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to produce precise 2D/3D drawings and models of water/wastewater systems, site utilities, and structural layouts for timely project delivery.

Desirable candidates have 5+ years of experience, proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD Plant 3D, and an AS in Drafting or related field.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar 3D modeling and drafting software.
• 5+ years experience with municipal infrastructure projects (e.g., water/wastewater, site utilities, structural layouts).
• Associate’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Sponsorship not available now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Drafting & Modeling: Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Revit, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar design software.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate design documents.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings and models comply with industry standards, municipal specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation & File Management: Maintain organized project files, revise drawings as needed, and assist in preparing documentation packages for client and regulatory approvals.
• Technical Support: Assist with data collection, field measurements, and design modifications to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with new drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
