Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. in San Francisco is looking for a Senior CAD Engineer to lead the design and configuration of spacecraft systems. You will manage spacecraft assembly configurations in CAD, document best practices, and mentor others on design tasks.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in mechanical CAD design, strong knowledge of SolidWorks, and a passion for hardware development. A comprehensive benefits package, including equity and on-site meals, is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a design role and expertise in mechanical CAD.
• Experience with design and production of complex assemblies.
• Robust knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Working knowledge and experience in PDM Administration.
• Mastery of GD+T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manage configuration of top-level spacecraft assemblies in CAD.
• Develop and document best practices for design.
• Teach and mentor others in design and drawing best practices.
• Model and draw components and systems.
