Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of CAD drafting experience, preferably in steel fabrication or structural metals.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and Bluebeam.
• Experience creating steel shop drawings and fabrication documentation.
• Thorough understanding of steel fabrication processes, weld symbols, tolerances, and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain detailed steel shop, fabrication, and assembly drawings for miscellaneous metals and components.
• Develop accurate 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and related software.
• Generate fabrication packages including weld details, BOMs, and production documents.
• Interpret drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and fabrication teams to support manufacturing activities and schedules.
