Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC), a Mercer University institute, seeks a Senior Draftsperson to provide CAD drawings and drafting support for MERC engineering staff in Warner Robins, GA. Qualifications

• Formal training or certification and extensive experience with ASME-Y14.x standards and MIL-STD-31000 are required.
• Experience creating part and assembly models and fabrication drawings via CAD systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes SolidWorks and AutoCAD to develop engineering models and drawings.
• Prepares drawings IAW MERC standards and applicable ASME/MIL-STD guidelines.
• Checks drawings including schematics and bill of materials for accuracy.
• Supports establishment of MERC drafting standards and PDM workflow.
• Assists other drafting personnel and approves drawings for release.
• Engages with customers and reports potential opportunities to the Director of Acquisition Strategy.
