Job summary

Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC seeks a Senior Drafter in Lafayette, LA to develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings per company standards. You will assist engineers with drafting, take-offs, estimates, schedules, and reports, while operating CAD tools and field surveys when needed.

Ideal candidates have 15–20 years in drafting, an associate degree or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of experience preparing engineering drawings.
• Two-year associate degree or equivalent; substitution possible.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings per established standards.
• Assist engineers in design and drafting activities.
• Assist engineers in technical tasks such as take-offs, estimates, schedules, reports.
• Operate CAD and drafting workstations.
• Occasionally perform field surveys to create drawings of existing conditions.
• Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
• Interface with senior staff to complete projects.
• Perform other duties as required.
