Job summary

Royal Engineers and Consultants, LLC is seeking a Lead Drafter in Louisiana to develop and prepare engineering drawings per established drafting standards. You will assist engineers, perform field surveys, and ensure client needs are met within budget and schedule.

The role requires 8–12 years of drafting experience, a two-year degree or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. Proficiency with CAD and MS Office is essential for collaboration and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; degree may be substituted by relevant work experience.
• 8–12 years of experience drafting and producing engineering drawings.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of drafting principles, standards and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings per standards.
• Assist engineers in design and drafting tasks.
• Support take-offs, estimates, schedules, and reports.
• Operate CAD workstations efficiently.
• Conduct field surveys to create drawings of existing conditions.
• Interface with senior staff on multidisciplinary projects.
• Perform other duties as required.
