Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior CAD Drafting Technician (Civil 3D) to support environmental, civil and geotechnical projects.

The role will develop layouts, grading plans and details, translating concepts into precise CAD drawings for facilities like landfills and industrial sites. You will work with a team of CADD professionals, mentor junior technicians, and help advance drafting standards across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in drafting and at least three years of CAD drafting experience in a professional engineering setting.
• Autodesk AutoCAD Certified Professional examination within the last 3 years is preferred.
• Experience developing grading plans, cross-sections, alignments, profiles, and earthwork calculations for civil projects.
• Experience with land surveying/mapping data and files is required.
• Experience with ArcGIS and MicroStation is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D annotations and tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and finalize design plans per Geosyntec drafting standards.
• Develop layouts, grading plans, and details for civil projects.
• Transfer information from engineering drawings to CAD drawings with correct symbols.
• Mentor CAD Drafting Technicians and participate in CAD standards improvements.
• Collaborate with other Geosyntec CAD practitioners to ensure quality across drawings.
