Job summary

SPX Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced design engineer to support engineering and manufacturing by creating and maintaining detailed 2D/3D models, drawings, and BOMs for fans, blowers, and related components.

This on-site role works closely with engineering, production, and applications teams to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years CAD experience in machinery design in a manufacturing environment and

Qualifications

5+ years CAD experience in machinery design for manufacturing.
Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, Inventor, and AutoCAD.
Manufacturing knowledge including fabrication, welding, machining.

Responsibilities

Design and draft 2D and 3D drawings.
Produce manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and BOMs.
Support product design changes, custom orders, and engineering updates.
Ensure drawings comply with company standards, tolerances, and specifications.
Review engineering specifications and drawings to determine critical dimensions and orientations for design.
Create detailed layout drawings and review design alternatives with manufacturing.
Provide input into selection and usage of design tools.
Assist with customer needs and handle opportunities with urgency.
Provide technical support to manufacturing and sales departments.
Analyze product specifications to determine producibility.
Create and review part numbers and BOMs.
