Job summary

All Native Group, the Federal Services division of Ho-Chunk Inc., seeks a Senior Cable Installer to design, implement, operate and maintain DOS Enterprise Telecommunications networks for voice and data across domestic locations.

The role involves site surveys, installation of cable and conduit, equipment provisioning, and coordination of large-scale installations, with opportunities to work at multiple DOS facilities and with other government partners.

Qualifications

• Six years overseeing and installing telephone, coaxial & fiber optic cables.
• Six years locating and diagnosing signal transmission defects with test equipment.
• Six years using field tools, test equipment, power and pressure devices.

Responsibilities

• Provides cable and conduit services
• Upgrades and replaces systems on a scheduled basis
• Installs new systems
• Fulfills service requests for all voice and data service
• Manages and maintains all associated computer equipment rooms within the National Capital Area Region (NCR)
• Responds to and resolves incidents
• Processes configuration updates based on service changes
• Processes financial transactions based on service changes
• Conducts quality management activities and business process re-engineering
• Provides procurement of all equipment, materials, and supplies for operations and maintenance
• Supports and the completes all assigned projects
• Prepares necessary reports
• Communicates directly with technical and management personnel
