Lockheed Martin Space's IGNITE organization seeks a Cable Harness Design and Test Engineer to design, validate, and test electronic cable harnesses for aerospace/defense systems. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance while supporting manufacturing and test activities.

The role covers harness layouts, testing, and documentation, with a focus on IPC-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, and buildable designs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cable harness design, testing, or integration within aerospace systems.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for harness design and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (multimeters, milliohm meters, hipot, automated cable testers).
• Familiarity with IPC-A-620 w/space or NASA-STD-8739.4 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cable harness layouts using CAD tools, including BOM creation.
• Conduct electrical/mechanical analyses to validate harness design against requirements.
• Develop and execute test plans for harness validation (continuity, insulation resistance, hi-pot).
• Troubleshoot harness defects and drive corrective actions.
