Rampart Communications Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to architect, build, and optimize low-latency C++ applications and interfaces powering our core platforms.

You will collaborate with DSP, FPGA, hardware, and product teams to bring complex algorithms into production in real time. The role demands expert Modern C++ (C++17+) and Python (3.10+), strong Linux systems programming, and experience with Git and CMake.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study.
• Experience: 10+ years of software engineering in high-performance or low-level systems (15+ years preferred).
• Languages: Expert-level Modern C++ (C++17+) and Python (3.10+).
• Ecosystem: Linux systems programming, Linux networking, Git, and CMake.

Responsibilities

• Core Systems Architecture: Design high-performance C++ applications and interfaces optimized for ARM and x86 platforms.
• Performance Engineering: Profile, debug, and enhance legacy and modern C++ implementations for maximum execution efficiency and low latency.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with DSP, FPGA, Hardware, and Product teams to transition algorithms into real-time production software.
• Infrastructure & Tooling: Design shared frameworks, tooling, and CI/CD architecture to elevate engineering standards.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor mid-level and junior engineers in cryptographic and DSP domains.
