SRC, Inc. is seeking a Staff C++ Software Engineer to drive the technical direction of NASIC core platforms. You will architect scalable, high-performance systems and mentor engineering teams while aligning execution with operational goals.

This onsite role requires TS/SCI clearance at a government or contractor facility. Responsibilities include leading architecture, establishing coding standards, and optimizing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field with 8+ years experience, or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 8+ years of professional C++ experience with Modern C++ (C++20/23).
• Deep expertise in system design, distributed systems, concurrency, and low-level management.
• Experience with configuration management, profiling tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience with unit, integration, and stress testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and planning of scalable, low-latency C++ systems.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and code reviews.
• Spearhead optimization initiatives to maximize throughput and memory efficiency.
• Identify technical debt and design strategies to refactor, upgrade, and secure legacy codebases.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate business vision into technical roadmaps.
• Coach and mentor mid-level and junior engineers to foster a high-performing culture.
