Job summary

SRC, Inc. in Fairborn, Ohio is seeking a Staff C++ Software Engineer to drive the technical direction of NASIC core platforms, architect scalable, high-performance systems, and mentor engineering teams onsite at government or contractor facilities.

You will lead system architecture, establish coding standards, optimize performance, and collaborate with product managers to translate business needs into concrete technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience with Modern C++ (C++20/23).
• Strong system design and low-latency specialization.
• Proven CI/CD, profiling, and debugging skills.
• Experience mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design of scalable, low-latency C++ systems.
• Define engineering best practices, coding standards, and code reviews.
• Drive performance optimizations to improve throughput and memory use.
• Identify technical debt and plan refactors and upgrades.
• Collaborate with product managers to map tech roadmaps.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers to raise performance.
