Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
• Public Trust/background check required.
• Local to the DMV area and on-site full-time.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in C++ development including modernizing legacy code.
• 5+ years in scripting languages, Git, and debugging tools.
• BS/BA in Computer Science.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize C++ code across Linux, macOS, and Windows.
• Refactor legacy C/C++ to modern standards (C++11+).
• Develop and maintain build systems, primarily with CMake.
• Create and maintain comprehensive unit tests.
• Perform profiling and resource usage analysis to meet latency requirements.
• Ensure code quality and perform code reviews; manage dependencies and SBOM.
• Produce technical documentation for APIs, architectures, and build processes.
