Divergent is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to develop real-time software for next-generation metal 3D printing platforms. You will work at the intersection of software, controls, and automation in a fast-paced R&D and production environment at Divergent’s Los Angeles site.

The role focuses on hardware integration, high-performance architecture, and intelligent automation, with opportunities to influence CI/CD and engineering best practices. Onsite only.

Competenze

• Must have ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
• Proficient in modern C++ (C++11 or newer).
• Experience developing multithreaded and/or real-time software applications.
• Familiar with Git or similar version control systems.
• Knowledge of build systems and tooling such as CMake.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and systems-level thinking.

Mansioni

• Design and develop real-time machine control software for proprietary industrial 3D printing systems.
• Build robust multithreaded applications in modern C++ for motion control and automation.
• Develop and maintain operator GUIs for machine monitoring and control.
• Create simulation and modeling tools to validate machine behavior and performance.
• Design calibration routines, fault detection logic, and maintenance workflows.
• Collaborate with controls, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to integrate software with mechatronic systems.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting on production hardware.
• Contribute to software architecture, CI/CD workflows, and best practices.
