Job summary

Monarch Quantum is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help scale our platform from the ground up. You will develop C++ software for instrument communication and GUI applications, leveraging Qt 6 and modern C++ to deliver robust, tested code in a fast-paced startup setting.

You will collaborate with hardware and firmware teams, apply SOLID design, and contribute to documentation and best practices. A strong emphasis on mentorship and proactive communication is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional C++ software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C++ software for instrument communication and GUI applications.
• Implement and improve Qt 6 GUI for commercial and internal apps.
• Design and develop reliable software components interfacing with hardware.
• Write unit tests using Google Test to ensure reliability.
• Use CMake to manage build configurations and dependencies.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and software engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation.
