Job summary

Formlabs in Budapest seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Desktop team to build and ship the PreForm print preparation app. You will work on Windows and macOS using C++/Qt6/QML, delivering end-to-end features with strong focus on performance, rendering, and user experience.

In this hybrid role, you will collaborate across product, design, QA and other engineering teams to improve tooling, build systems, and deployment, while ensuring maintainable and scalable code in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• Extensive desktop application development experience, ideally with C++/Qt.
• Ability to architect reliable systems within a large evolving codebase.
• Commitment to code quality, testing, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a desktop 3D print preparation application for Windows and macOS.
• Work in C++ / Qt 6 / QML on a large production codebase.
• Develop features end to end including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Contribute to geometry, rendering, workflow logic, and printer integration.
• Improve build systems, CI, packaging, and developer tooling.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and other engineering teams.
