Job summary

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain applications and embedded software for advanced analytical instrumentation systems.

This role contributes across the software development lifecycle, delivering instrument control, data analysis capabilities, user interfaces, and scientific applications. Located in West Lafayette, Indiana, the position requires collaboration with engineering, scientific, project management, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Software Eng.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET
• Experience with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Experience developing multi-threaded applications and debugging.
• Understanding of secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with communication protocols and embedded software architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, if required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and embedded systems across the lifecycle.
• Develop software solutions for instrument control, UIs, data acquisition, and analytics.
• Implement innovative interfaces and data analysis capabilities; troubleshoot and debug.
• Support new product development and sustain existing products through enhancements.
• Collaborate with engineering, scientific, project management, and manufacturing teams.
• Plan, track, and communicate project activities and development schedules.
