Job summary

Nava is a consultancy and public benefit corporation focused on modernizing government services. The Senior Software Engineer will mentor teams, drive migration efforts, shape technical direction, and partner with government stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

You will collaborate with product teams and contractors to design, implement, and deploy new systems, write thorough docs, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to a culture that values thoughtful

Qualifications

Experience with C#/.NET and designing RESTful APIs in a microservices architecture.
Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in Microsoft Azure.
Experience with large-scale applications and cloud-native architecture.
Familiarity with secure software development practices and authentication/authorization patterns.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities in engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Lead a distributed engineering team to design, review, and build well-crafted software.
Collaborate with government partners and contractors to architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements.
Work in an agile manner to ship features that meet user needs.
Create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows.
Write and review technical documentation and perform code reviews.
Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems.
