Job summary

BSA Software is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain our municipal ERP software. You will work with product managers, QA, and fellow developers to deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet client needs.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on experience, deep C# and ASP.NET MVC expertise, strong front-end skills (JavaScript, CSS, HTML), and a solid understanding of the .NET Framework and SQL Server.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience building scalable, complex applications.
• Expertise in C# and object-oriented programming.
• Extensive ASP.NET MVC experience including SPA development.
• Front-end tech: JavaScript, CSS, HTML for responsive UI.
• Strong .NET Framework knowledge including Windows Forms.
• Experience with TFS/Azure DevOps, version control, docs, testing.
• Proficient in SQL Server queries and stored procedures.
• Proficient in Visual Studio.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development team to understand requirements, design docs for municipal ERP modules.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code following best practices.
• Implement secure coding practices and address vulnerabilities.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and mentor juniors.
• Drive continuous improvement of development processes.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure requirements.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolve complex defects.
• Stay current with trends and advocate for enhancements.
• Communicate progress and challenges to the Development Manager.
• Mentor junior developers and share expertise.
