Job summary

Atrium Staffing is recruiting a C++ Software Engineer for a global organization in New York. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable real-time applications, collaborating with engineers, architects, QA, and other tech teams.

This role emphasizes hands-on coding in C/C++, Unix/Linux, and real-time processing, with responsibilities including feature ownership, performance tuning, and adherence to CI/CD and security practices.

Qualifications

• Strong professional C/C++ development experience.
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with real-time and/or event-driven processing.
• Experience with messaging technologies.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of software design principles.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C/C++.
• Build and enhance real-time and event-driven applications.
• Own key features from technical design through implementation.
• Work with messaging technologies and relational databases.
• Troubleshoot application and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and QA teams.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Follow software security and development best practices.
