Job summary

WorldQuant seeks a seasoned software engineer to own parts of our large-scale, distributed platform for quantitative research. You will write production-quality C++ on Linux, helping build scalable systems that power alphas and investment workflows.

You will collaborate with researchers and portfolio managers in a fast-paced, intellectually driven environment, where independence, rigorous coding, and clear communication are valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production-quality C++ on Linux.
• Strong Linux system programming fundamentals.
• Ability to develop large-scale, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, high-performance application design, and concurrency patterns.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Proficiency in English.

• Own some of the unique technical challenges inherent in building the platform.
• Contribute to the multi-year journey to provide a powerful, scalable platform for the firm’s growth.
• Bring solid experience and perspective to the team.
