Job summary

Index Engines Inc. is seeking a Distinguished Software Engineer to join the Platform team. You will develop, maintain, and support Linux applications, acting as a strategic advisor and hands-on code builder across multiple engineering groups.

The role requires leading design of scalable, secure solutions, mentoring teams, and collaborating with Product Management. You will drive adoption of the latest AI technologies and contribute high-impact software across the CyberSense product.

Qualifications

• Strong software development experience in C and Python on Linux.
• Proficient in Linux system hardening and security.
• Proficient with cryptographic algorithms, OpenSSL, TLS.
• Experience with data structures and performance-oriented algorithms.
• Practices Agile development methodology.
• Experience using AI code generation tools like Claude.
• Enjoys challenging, collaborative environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Able to work across time zones with Asia-based teams.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and design scalable, secure architectures.
• Write clean, production‑quality code and participate in reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize bottlenecks.
• Mentor cross-functional teams and coordinate deliverables.
• Collaborate with Scrum teams to integrate modules.
• Analyze customer issues with support and resolve.
• Review requirements with Product Management for feature delivery.
