SQUAD is seeking a skilled C & C++ Embedded Engineer to own critical software components for camera-based security devices. You will debug, maintain, and extend existing products while crafting innovative new features.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded development, strong C/C++ (C++17), RTOS, and proficiency with CI/CD, Git, and hardware debugging tools. Remote work options are available for Ukraine-based roles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial embedded development experience with C/C++ (C++17) and RTOS knowledge.
• Proficiency with Git, CMake, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong network programming and multithreading on multicore MCUs.
• Experience writing device drivers and libraries; knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, Wi-Fi.
• Excellent English communication and documentation (B2 level).
• Hands-on hardware debugging with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality embedded software for camera-based security devices.
• Debug and resolve complex software, hardware, and network issues across the stack.
• Develop new features and improve existing codebases for the product line.
• Optimize software performance in resource-constrained environments.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with QA to develop testing strategies.
• Document software designs, APIs, libraries, and troubleshooting procedures.
