Job summary

Applied Intuition, with offices in the DC area, seeks a Software Engineer skilled in real‑time multi‑agent planning and optimization. You will craft advanced algorithms for autonomous coordination across platforms, collaborating with the Acuity team to advance human‑machine teaming.

The role requires C++20 proficiency, Docker/Bazel in Linux, and the ability to turn complex math into clear documents. U.S. citizenship and SECRET clearance eligibility are required for defense‑related work.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/SE/Robotics or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on C++20 development experience.
• Strong background in constraint satisfaction, scheduling and optimization.
• Experience with Docker and Bazel in Linux environments.
• Ability to translate math into clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-agent optimization algorithms for distributed decision-making and coordination.
• Develop temporal logic frameworks and constraint-satisfaction algorithms for planning.
• Create mathematical models for sequential decision processes under uncertainty.
• Build frameworks balancing algorithmic efficiency with human-interpretable reasoning.
• Evaluate quantitative metrics for algorithm performance and solution quality.
