Job summary

The Boeing Company in Washington is seeking an Experienced C-17 Product Repair/Modifications Technician to support the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

You will assemble, disassemble and modify systems, troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems, test and document procedures to ensure flight worthiness while training others. This role requires safety and compliance focus and is performed under general direction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience reading, understanding, and interpreting basic engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• 3+ years' experience in detecting hazardous working conditions and safety problems via regular checks.
• 3+ years' experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices.
• Ability to work from heights with fall protection up to 225 lb or lower.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading components.
• Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
• Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoots pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
• Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Documents procedures and processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
• Oversees training.
• Works under general direction.
