Job summary

Eaton’s Power System Division seeks a Senior Buyer for our Greenwood, SC facility. The role focuses on strategic procurement of complex materials, supplier qualification, and collaboration with Quality and Engineering to ensure material availability and performance.

Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, negotiating terms, and supporting lean inventory initiatives, Kanban, and cost-reduction efforts across production. Relocation is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in production, procurement, or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Relocation within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience, Master's degree, APICS CPIM/CSCP, SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective availability of materials.
• Maintain understanding of supplier capabilities, material requirements, schedules, and supply risks.
• Utilize Lean principles and Kanban to improve material flow and reduce waste.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new sources of supply to meet capacity, cost, quality, and continuity goals.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and administer POs and supplier records.
• Support inventory accuracy and collaborate on new product development and readiness.
