Job summary

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Senior Buyer to oversee all commercial aspects of purchasing and supply chain, including supplier relations, cost negotiation, and sourcing of materials. This role will handle larger spends and supervise procurement activities.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in procurement/logistics, strong leadership, and deep experience with inventory software and ERP systems. Onsite in Pennsylvania with business hours, offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in procurement, logistics, and inventory.
• Strong supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with accounting and inventory software; order processing systems.
• Strong negotiation, team-building, innovation, and change management skills.
• Professional certifications are a plus (APICS, CPIM).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships with key suppliers and support activities such as ordering, demand changes, and backorder follow-up.
• Develop a deep understanding of suppliers and capabilities.
• Develop category sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Identify, prioritize, and impact key business opportunities.
• Ensure efficient materials flow and best practices.
• Improve forecasting methods to inform buying decisions.
• Collaborate across organizational levels to meet procurement goals.
