Job summary

The Georgia-Pacific Savannah River Mill seeks an experienced HR business partner to partner with managers and employees in its non-union tissue, towel, and napkin mill in Rincon, GA. The role focuses on HR initiatives, labor improvements, and strategic HR support in a 900-employee facility.

You'll build relationships with leaders, coach supervisors on development plans, guide change management, and drive HR process improvements while aligning with core values and our compensation philosophy.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR functions including employee relations, payroll, or benefits.
• Experience with business systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Effective communication with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Proven coaching skills and flexibility.
• Ability to prioritize based on value and HR impact.
• Knowledge of employment and labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the advancement of Principle Based Management.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with operations leaders and employees.
• Identify talent gaps and coach supervisors on gap-closure plans.
• Use business acumen to understand drivers of performance and support results.
• Develop strategies and lead improvement initiatives around labor.
• Challenge situations not aligned with Core Values and Code of Conduct.
• Provide guidance to leaders in change management and employee development.
• Drive innovation in HR functions and processes.
• Be forward-thinking to anticipate needs and issues before they arise.
