Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Proven experience developing sourcing strategies and managing supplier portfolios.
• Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and favorable contract terms.
• Advanced understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and procurement best practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong Excel/data analysis skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and operate at a strategic level.
• Experience with supplier performance management and risk mitigation strategies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance reviews, negotiations, and long-term agreements.
• Lead complex negotiations for pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve measurable cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, engineering, and operations to support new product introductions (NPI) and demand changes.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive corrective actions to address quality, delivery, or cost issues.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes and supplier base.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior buyers or procurement team members.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
