The role involves negotiating contracts, evaluating suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining records, and supporting government procurement requirements as needed; candidates should have a bachelor's degree and at least five years of purchasing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related manufacturing program from a two-year college; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related purchasing or procurement experience.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with government procurement requirements (desired).
• Working knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of commodities from purchase intent through delivery.
• Analyze requirements, specs, preferred suppliers, and delivery timelines.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier proposals to ensure compliance with needs.
• Interview potential suppliers to confirm they meet requirements.
• Recommend appropriate suppliers to management or team members.
